Thrown, cast, and handbuilt clay with glaze and iron oxide
This is an old one from my college days, but I thought it might be appreciated here. This is what happens when you combine "classic" art influences/class requirements with an unrestrained obsession with animals and a sense of humor (uh oh).
Obviously this wouldn't work as an actual stovetop teapot, but it does pour out the squirrel's mouth. The pedestal consists of 3 squirrels holding the rest of the piece up. The lid's handle is a vole head.
I no longer have this piece. I think I gave it away to one of my professors.
