So I have had a lot of people asking me what breed of dragon Astrid is. I never put much thought into that myself, but decided to go forth and make up a "breed" for her. This is NOT canon, nor is it a "species" type of thing. This is just a personal concept.
Coppice Dragons typically live in FORESTS. Woopdeedoo, SO ORIGINAL. They basically are dragons.
ok time to get REAL.
Coppice Dragons are USUALLY intelligent and come in a wide variety of flavors *colors. They are mostly dull shades of black, green and brown--you know, like...trees....--but their color schemes vary depending on ORIGIN or HABITAT. Ex. a dragon that lives in the jungle will have brighter shades of green, blue and possibly red, etc. while a dragon made from magic or something artificial would LOOK artifical (crazy colors like pink, purple, perhaps rainbow, it all depends on the lightness/darkness of the element)
Males have two large, spiked horns atop their head that can curve in various ways *mentions various ways but does not actually show a visual example of various ways; just expects readers to imagine said various ways and be right about it* They also tend to have beards. Some of them try to be cool dudes and grow mustaches but I ain't never seen no dragon walking around with a dang mustache. WHO DOES THAT?? ALSO they have quills on their shoulders and knees. Fur runs from their neck down their back and tail. Males have small spikes around their necks that can be blown up like a robin's red chest, they do this when they wanna grab the chicks and be all PEEPEE FRICTION PLEASURE in da house mmmhmmmmmm
Females are smaller than males but contain twice the sass, unless you get that good ol' flamboyant guy dragon who outdoes all the females with his proper sass-class. Females are slender and curvy in shape (they retain water apparently idfk) and their snouts are thinner and have more of a fragile appearance. They have no fur down their back but their quills are reversed from that of males; instead of being on the shoulders and knees, a female's quills are on the back of the arms and legs. Why? I don't know. Maybe they fit together like puzzle pieces during PEEPEE FRICTION PLEASURE--okay I'm done 8D
Other notes: ALL dragons of this breed have similar traits: ears, long necks, five-fingered wings, quills, striped tails, and fur on their head/tail tip. Of course, the style of the mane can be equivalent to that of people: curly, wavy, straight, different styles, dyed, shaved, bald, whatever. The stripes on the tail aren't limited to two colors; some can have three different colors on the tail, and can even be different sized stripes, so long as it is a pattern. (Think of candy canes) Quills are flexible and can be expanded/retracted as well as bend depending on pressure. (like if a female lays down on her arms, the quills will flatten against the arms; that way these things don't kill themselves just by rolling over in their sleep).
Their breath weapon (fire, ice, earth, electricity, Spyro-scented cranberry breath) are ALSO dependent on ORIGIN or HABITAT. Much like the colors 8D
And that's it.
