As I mentioned in my last journal, I almost has my mask complete when I realized it wasn't turning out quite the way I'd wanted. I decided to start over using another blank, extending the muzzle by 1cm and thinning the width by about the same. That's why there's quite a bit of epoxy sculpt on it. I cut out the nose and put in one I cast out of urethane rubber.

I got the new amber LED DVC eyes 3 days ago so quickly got them installed. I hope to complete the mask over the weekend now that I have everything I need. You can see in the picture how I generally prep for furring. Rather than taping up the mask, drawing out the pattern, and cutting out the pieces to make a template for each fur piece, I draw out the pattern I want in pencil on the blank, finalize it in Sharpie, then glue down and cut out the fur as I go. I'll try and put up a tutorial type image soon that shows more clearly what I mean.
