You know, I'd never heard of that movie before, so I googled it. Now, I really doubt I want to see it, because fat humans are gross http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb.....gain_S1E03.png
I think this state is called a "womb" for anyone that is infected by the main host. they are constantly hungry due to the slugs babies inside them to the point that it is maddening and the only thing on their minds even to the end of this state, which is bursting open and releasing the slugs which disperse and seek out victims to infest and create thralls for the host. this process usually always ends in the death of the womb.
I don't know if the prime host feeds all the wombs but apparently when no thralls are present they result in hiding the first womb and feeding them whatever they can find. though I think thralls that aren't assimilated by the prime host of the "Long One" go out and feed other wombs in order to spread the long one's influence.
Pretty much a cycle of eating and assimilation with this organism "Long One" is. and the slugs seem to send information of the Long One's memories as they infest their hosts. pretty interesting stuff.
