Stalking the lakeside woods and rivers of Bäckseda. A lonesome beast of human stature, disfigured into a mockery of life. Part roach, part man, an illusive creature seen by few, ever hiding from hikers, boatsmen and the like.
No one knows how he came to be. Speculations are many, some say he is the result of factory waste sipping out in the lakes, born from pollution, others claim him to be the missing link or an evolutionary mishap. There has been talk of alien interference, people stating the creature not to be of this earth. Even a ceratain, now long since past, mr. Presley has been brought in to the circle of speculations regarding the bipedal monstrosity. Skeptics see him a hoax, possibly a man in a rubbersuit or as little as a mere rumor, designed to attract tourists and excitement seekers.
Will we ever no the truth about the lurker of the lake? Does the creature himself know?
