MKIII is a biological mech, from a storyline that myself,
and a few others, have been toying with. Basically they are bio mechanical constructs, grown and then augmented with mechanical systems. Some of them are fully independant, however this one is special to Taluthus in the storyline, as it requires a pilot to function effectively, and MKIII ends up forming a strong bond with Tal as its pilot. While inside of the mech, his conciousness effectively merges with its, his body goes into a sort of temporary statis inside of the cockpit and the mech becomes his body. The pairing doesnt always work so well, and in a prior case, ended up horiffically.
There are several mechs in the Mk program, some of which you will have already likely seen, each performing a different role.
MK3's role is of a recovery, recycling kind of role. His immensely strong jaws can tear into metal and concrete alike, and inside of his body, he can process raw materials and produce new, useful materials from them. His processes can include both chemical and mechanical 'digestion' in which he breaks down the materials in order to manufacture new materials from them. This process cna be applied to organic material too so beware ;3
THIS amazing piece is of course, the handiwork of
who took on this commission and was incredibly patient with me although i had a LOT of ideas, and many complexities, he managed to cohese it into an AMAZING final piece, so please, enjoy!

MKI's bonding with its pilot did not go well at all, and ended up in the pilot being stuck bonded to him, in eternal agony, and he and the mech went insane, and were later defeated in a final confrontation with MKIII whereapon both MKI and its deranged pilot were.. recycled
Don't scrap the idea just yet. Even characters of similar themes can be unique in the spin surrounding both the character and the world that shaped them. I'm sure if you look, you'll find character/concepts with similarities to this, but the details different enough to make them their own things.
Though it is my belief that mechanical/sci-fi stuff is rather underrepresented in the fandom, this is certainly a quality representation of it, of which I'd love to see more.
The details are what really sell this two, from how the laser sights are illustrated to even the background with its lighting, and that's not even getting into the focal point of this whole thing. I personally like how painterly the style looks, giving this the feel of polished/finished concept art.

An interesting fact on the lasers too. The only one that is actuall yHIS is the one shooting from the little laser on his shoulder near his neck
the others are all aimed AT him, thats what he is likely roaring at defensively. ytoull notice some are hitting the concrete near him, or random parts of his body
HIS lazer is supposed to be green, im just too lazy to reupload it yet
