Today was the first day of raw work to prepare for current and future projects, the first important step within that being acquiring silver, preferably sterling silver (92.5% silver content for strength, color, and value), as I did in the form of a set of Sterling Silver wedding picture frames. Forgot to snap a pic of em before I cut em up, but I left a few of the edges to perhaps make rings or something spiffy out of later. In the very center are the 2 silver ingots I poured last, yet to be annealed (reheated just shy of melting), then cleansed in a mild acid bath. The lower 3 have been annealed, but have suffered firescaling from the torch heat. The small bag has clippings from excess silver that hang off the edges of the ingots after pouring it. Just saving em for later to remelt down into yet another ingot. Tomorrow, I am hoping to put together an acid solution in a crock pot to pickle/clean the fire scale and excess flux from the metals after being melted down and poured.
Maybe... Just maybe... In the next 24 hours... I may have a few finished products~

And as usual, if anyone has interest in gemstones or jewelry, do give me a poke and I'll be happy to fabricate something for you~
