I'm curently negotiating some sort of deal to get my hands on an Arrow; the 'TSR.2 Cousin' XD Though it was more of a fighter....a big one at that XD A Nose survives and theres a full scale mock-up of what is considered as a big symbol of Gov. failure =3

What do you mean by "I'm currently negotiating some sort of deal to get my hands on an Arrow"…. The Arrow was a big girl, and was the only bird that could/can take out a U2 spy plane. Plus whatever else decided to be stupid enough to fly in to Canadian airspace.

Ah.. Okay, was wondering what you ment by that.. I think one of the migs was an attempt to be a carbon copy of the Arrow. Save for the fact that it had a normal configuration rather than the Arrows delta wing concept.

The MiG was no copy of any western type man; it was built to counter the high fast flying threats of the XB-70, SR-71 and so on... no bet that if the arrow went into service the MiG-25 would have also been built to counter it... today it survives as a fast high flying recon; flew over Isreal with immunity over the wars

Alright... Thought I had read/seen something that a Mig design was very similar to the Arrow at the time.

Egyptin ones yeah; but soviet recon MiG-25R's were invulnerable; they were withdrawn when the threat of the cold war ging hot made the primer withdraw soviet support

ah the good old avro :3 *purrrrs* got a question ever thought of going to toronto to see the one that was made from the old design plans? a large group of volunteers made it. never fly but i hear its really cool to see up close.

I would love to get up close to fullsize aircraft again. I got to see the full size mock up at the Abbotsford air show back when the movie hit the TV.

They're not that hard to find. Just go to a hobby shop and have them pull out the Hobby Craft catalog and tell them what scale you want. It comes in 1/72 or 1/48 scale.

Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow. I heard a lot about it reading Canadian aviation but never get around to learn about it completely.

What do you think? Should we have continued working on this bad boy back theN?
