Two finer folks do not exist on this earth. I am touched
beyond words, and I will treasure this picture for the rest of my life.

Rudyard was a dog who could hardly contain his happiness.
When we were playing ball at the river, splashing through the
water and running barefoot through the sand with complete
abandon, his soul almost exploded with joy.

This is a time of my life that I treasure.
A time of pure love, where the worries of the day evaporated,
replaced by the feeling that everything was absolutely perfect,
and the world was a wonderful place.

I will visit this beach again next month.
I will scatter some of Rud's ashes there,
and I'll hang a copy of this picture from his favorite palm tree.

I doubt I'll ever be able to express how much this art means
to me, and I can't thank my two good friends enough.
