At last, he is completely finished. (Granted there are some minor adjustments for fittings I need to do, such as adjusting pauldrons/arm guards and the shin covers)
Its taken many weekends and long hours to finish, but he's done! It's rather difficult to move around in and cumbersome, but all worth it for how badass it looks all together LoL
Everything hand crafted, engraved, painted, whole nine yards. Yep, the sword and scabbard too. Armor is foam based with hand engraved embellishments and real leather straps that I cut one by one. I still have some minor fitting adjustments needed, but I'm calling it "done" as it still looks fantastic all together. This is my first real hash at armor fabrication, and I learned a -lot- while making it and experimenting with all different kinds o fmethods and materials.
I'll post a close up picture of him all together so you can really see all the detail I poured into him. If you're going to be at Indy PopCon or GenCon, you can expect to see him marching around! Wish me luck at the competition! My first entry ever and I'm very excited and very nervous. I hope all my hard work won't be for naught.

OH MY GOD!! I kept saying to myself "This is Skyrim related, RIGHT?! PLEASE LET THIS BE SKYRIM RELATED IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE STEEL PLATE ARMOR!!!" I had a fan girl freak out moment. I love skyrim so much and when I read the description I spazzed out so much! I need some for myself but I lack the skills to make something so extravagant haha

OH Cool! I hope I run into you at gencon! I'll be taking my Toothless suit on Thursday and my new Dewott suit for the competition on Saturday. A tip from last year, if you plan to enter the costume competition, mail in your entry form early! The spots fill up fast and they only take 70 competitors.
So amazing to see it all come together. <3 I hope you win at the contest too, but please don't be discouraged if you don't. Watching a few episodes of that cosplay show on SyFy, usually it's the "big and flashy" costumes that win, Yours is more technical and true to the original source material, but judges may not appreciate that... but I really hope they do. The work you've put into this, it's just awesome!
