LOVERS

Backstory:
The gods of love, in mourning for the souls of creatures that had died without meeting their soulmates (and those who had no soulmates at all), brought these souls back in a new form to be born again so that they could have another chance. Knowing that dead people couldn’t just come back to life all willy-nilly in the mortal world, these souls were taken to the world between life and death; a land called the Dream Forest. Sort of like limbo. So that negated the possibility of dying before they found their love, meaning that these “Lover’s” souls could be thousands of years old without actually showing their age physically.

Facts:
- Lovers are born from souls (a.k.a little balls of light/essence)
- They are about 2-4 feet tall
- They have no claws or nails (hands are completely soft)
- Very agile
- They have no anatomical differences between sexes/genders, but can have male/female/other pronouns depending on their own preference
- Both females and males of this species can become pregnant (this is the reason for their curves; the hips need to be wide enough for young)
- Lovers will only mate with their soulmate and mate for life
- Once mated, their “Aphrodite’s Eye” (The third eye positioned on their foreheads) will change to the color of their mate’s soul and emit a soft glow
- Their third eye is connected to the others and when their mate dies, the light will fade and they will go blind
- Once a mate is lost, it is common for Lovers to die of grief or drive themselves insane
- Lovers can find their soulmate in any species regardless of gender
- Some souls left the mortal world before their time and their soulmate is still in the mortal or immortal realm (Meaning they can visit other realms if their soulmate does not exist within their own realm)
- They aren’t supposed to have memories from their previous life/lives, but sometimes, the less mentally stable Lovers are capable of accessing these memories through dreams

Personality Bases:
A personality base is a core trait that acts as literal base for the personality of the character to work off of, but does not dictate their behavior. It can give hints, however. A Lover’s coloring and markings is determined by the “color” of their personality base. There are seven personality types and seven colors. [Colors include: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and white]

Gentle – [Violet]
Serious – [White]
