This I am very proud of indeed. Its a fairly simple piece of animation, but its effective, no? :D
It took me about a day and a half to get right and I learnt a few thigns along the way while doing it.
its not exactly an acurate representation of our solar system, what with the earth ebing larger than the sun XD Also, Venus is green. This seems to have struck a cord with alot of people, but I was lead to belive at a very younge age that Venus was green by a Buck Rodgers game I had for the Megadrive. While I know better now, the assosiation has still stuck XD

I really love that you included the coronal activity on the sun. The only thing missing is the rotation of the planets, and their satellites. Something to consider if you redo this later. Otherwise, one of the best flash animations I have seen for being so simple. I wish I could do stuff like this.
Revolving would require a bit of frame by frame work bu it could certainly be done. And the Moon Idea is a really good one! :D I hadn't though of it. Getting the shadow of the Moons to face the sun as they orbited thier planets would be murderously difficult though...
On an offnote, The planets do rotate slightly, but they rotate around thier equator as the axis XD

yourdoingitwrong! the solar system revolves around the earth... duh =p
wonderful little animation by the way... reminded me that we're CLOSER to the sun than mars is... I always forget that, what with it being smaller than us.
mind if I copy your idea? It looks like fun, and i'd really like to try it
