Commission: Kester Mascot
A FAF/Email commission. This design is to become a fursuit *_* I'VE NEVER BEEN SO NERVOUS. Knowing this is for something larger than just art makes it all the more important.
This mascot is also to hang out with kids at a hospital. How awesome is that?
I actually shed a few tears when I thought more about the whole thing. As someone that wanted to become an art therapist, this stuff touches me.
Kester is for its rightful owner. Not sure if they have a FA account. If they do, this part will be updated.

I use:
Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (The way the brush pressure is in this ver is less 'digital' looking by default) (also because its the only ver of PS I could afford back in high school xD)
My brush settings vary from project to project.
The brush I use for a lot of my stuff is the Chalk 36 brush with manipulated settings.
Shape dynamics, pen pressure fade, scatter, jitter, and texture. Then its just a matter of the artist's hand. You can have as pencilly as possible, but its all about how you lay it down.
Your Wacom is about the same as my Wacom. Mine's even the smallest size. xD
I also sharpen layers, add paper, paint, and rust textures I made in college. One thing that makes it easier to feel like you're working on paper, is make your background look like actual paper BEFORE you start. :3
The thing as well, is when a lot of people work digital, they change the way they work. Like adding certain details or not putting certain details. The key is to try your best not to change. <3
A lot of people ask me what I use to ink as well. The answer to that is:
The basic hard brush with spacing to 1%. I just have insane control of what my hand does.
I hope this helps.
