Prehnite, like Lapis Lazuli, was trapped as an object until Bumblebee found her and pulled her out. She was basically a box that could speak, but she refused to talk and generally just made mostly long, monotone sounds - sound is kind of her thing. But Bee got her out and they became best not-buddies.
