Short version: It's a logo for a class assignment, pretty minimalistic huh?
Long version: Ok so I have to make a logo and album cover for this musician for class right? All this time I thought she was going to be a "light piano" genre-wise but the sound bit I listened to sounded more like an avant garde "neo-folk" style and I'm thinking "greeeat neofolk huh?" So then I go home and spend a night of creative processing including a little practice of chaos magic and Nordic rune research to come up with a sigil out of her name to use as a logo. I took that sigil into illustrator and redused and redused untill I had something of a "Nike Swoop". After that I had a little bourbon, jacked off a few times, and spent the rest of that night in dream analysis coming up with ideas for the album itself. And then coming home today I saw a Nine Inch Nails sticker and thought "Hey I can do that!" And so I took the name "Sung" and flipped the "S" arouned and reduced the letters to curves...
...and came up with this
the message is love, that is, I hope you love it

also the logo being black and white is a requirement
and I agree with it... any good logo is one that you can easily recognize in black and white.
The best logos are the ones you can identify without the text, which is what I'm going for with the "Sung" graphic I made :)
