It has been raining all day and I do not mind. My vegetables and herbs really need it. All of my rose bushes are bountiful with buds and I've been anxiously awaiting the first blooms of the year.
The rose I present to you tonight is called AngelFace. It is one of the hardest roses to grow in my area due to the climate. However, I've had reasonable success with them as I am very partial to their color and fragrance. I wish you could all smell this little beauty - I imagine this is how the summerlands in the afterlife will smell like. Hope you like Have a great day!
Rose (C) Rosa Angel Face
History: "Angel Face" originated at Swim and Weeks nursery in Southern California and was introduced in 1968. Just a year later in 1969 it became an All-American Rose Selection, the first mauve rose to receive this prestigious award. The cross that created "Angel Face" had a hybrid rose, "Circus" x "Lavender Pinocchio" as the female parent, and "Sterling Silver" as the male parent. "Sterling Silver" was the first modern mauve rose, introduced by American hybridizer Gladys Fisher in 1957.

It's a lovely rose, for a lovely Angel.
It can grow where it isn't common thanks to your warming hands, with green thumbs, soothing voice as you talk to them, and great care you provide to all your plants. Plus the kitties are there for protection. The colors, and fragrances are all there as a thank you for taking such lovely care for it.

Agreed! I've got a family of doves that have nested in my rose garden and live on my deck. Much kitty chatterings at the back door as the kitties want to go out and play with the birdies! The smells are great and even though I'm having a hard time buying more hybrid tea's I haven't given up. I truly plan to add more every year until my back yard turns into a walking garden. Bonus if I can somehow get Wisteria to grow and a trellis to support it >.> all in good time :D
With you there watching after all of those lovely plants, they'll join the marvelous family, and one day they will give you a trophy garden. Angel face roses for the Angel Angelis
Poor Kitties. Wanting to play with the birds of love and peace. Goes to show how much love your plants have for you, and nature in general. <3
