Time to take a trip to the future, in 2026 a lot of stuff will have happened, Cher finally retired, Cars became gassless so there is better environmetalism, and Islamic terrorism will have been a thing of the past. The sad thing is that now North Kores finally started going off their threats that they always make but never seem to go through with. Sadly they are surprisingly not going fourth with nuclear attacks yet, because they know that they will get beaten that way, but they have been sending people in from Korea to do battles hand to hand, and with asian talents, that is not a very good thing... {it's North Korea, I can insult them} The sad thing is that despite the more peaceful international relations, the United States reinstated the Draft to fight off the Koreans at the source, and sadly it is now time to see how their plans of training will go... But first let's meet our main protagonist.
We have a man named Jonathan Willis, who is born on October 7th, and is also the author of this story, and today happens to be his birthday! He really doesn't care for his birthday because he isn't much of a party boy and doesn't drink, but today he can't stand it... He is a lonely person who doesn't really mind, however he thought he would have a small but very close group of friends like the guys on his favorite show, Friends. He isn't a very normal person, he usually relies on his sense of humor to get by, which most people don't really mind. He never invisioned being put in military recruit because the thought of needing to kill anything was too hard for him to deal with, but due to the reinstated Draft, he has been called upon. He became very nervous with fighting against Korea but is also worried that this will also take away his indiviualism, as the breakdown methods only make him subservent to someone superior and will make him fight for the wrong reasons.
Willis has a skill with using hook swords, he traianed with them while he was in college as a way to escape the stress and take up something he thought was an art, but this will soon be his down fall. With the Koreans fighting with hand to hand weapons, the U.S. needed people who knew how to handle special weapons this way. This was his down fall, they needed his skill and this made him worried, but he wasn't ready to give up his inidividualism that easily, as he is very strong minded. When his recruitent day came by, he was taken to a specialized arena for combat training, because he needed to see what was going to happen before he begann training and he met up with his other recruits and superior who was the typical no nonsense leader you would see in the movies, but Willis wasn't really afraid of him, in fact he handled it with strong sarcasm. While being shown around, the man clearly wasn't in the mood for jokes.
"Well you must be the hook sword master, welcome abord, you begin trining tomorrow." he stated somewhat rationally at first.
"No, I haven't been the hook sword master sense their mind control chips broke off, now I'm just their friend that they need to trust or else I'll test science experiments on." he sarcastically said as he pulled one out.
"Well it looks like we've got a funny guy here, well that ain't gonna cut it here, here you work hard and listen, theere's no place for jokes in boot camp!" he exclaimed, but clearly holding back his hard stuff.
"That's fine, I brought a book shelf that works as a good place to store them." he responded, not really caring about what was just told to him, while the others subsided more easily.
"Drop and give me twenty!" he exclaimed
"Fine..." he said as he got on the floor, then took two ten dollar bills ot of his pocket, "I charge ten percent interest per week."
The man was not impressed but he didn't think this would last, he's dealt with this before. The frst thing he showed them was the obsticle course, which was filled with barbed wire, ropes, mud, the works, and of course Willis had a comment... "Wow, my last school just had swings and slides." The man again was annoyed as the others chuckled at his joke but moved on. They then saw the gym for basic physical exercise, again, he had a joke, "Are you sure you want me in here, i got a C- in gym at high school." He actually told him to lay off the jokes or else he would be in trouble, but again he didn't ccarer, he was being trained to go to battle for his death, he wants to make the best of it. When they got to their cabins, Willis noticed the bunk beds and asked of he could get his lucky blankie, again as a joke. Fortunatly they were without the superior so they were able to laugh wothout fear. They wanted to now why he wasn't taking this situation seriously and he told them that he isn't happy about it so he needs to make sure he stays the way he is instead of being broken down, while they found him humorous, they didn't think he was going to last very long in this academy, which he doubted, he wanted to see how far he could go before the cracking down had to go down.
The next day, the major came by and woke everybody up at 5 am with the typical trumpet thing you see in the movies. Everybody woke up resentfully, but Willis satyed in bed trying to go back to sleep. When the major tried to yell at him to get up, he put his hand out on his face saying he was looking for the snooze button, this resulted in the major yelling at him very loud, this got him up resentfully, but it wasn't really scary. In the breakfast room, there was realyly unappatizing food being served, but it was enough for most people, however some, including Willis, showed restraint, not wanting to eat that gross stuff, "They want us to eat this, I thought we needed to stay healthy for battle?" he sarcastically said, and while everyone tried to force them to eat, a few stayed strong, including Willis, he can go a while, trust me, I know, I'm gonna be him. Again, the major was annoyed at this and tried to get him to subside and lay off the humor, but Willis just thought of it as a new challange.
They later went into the obsticle course and for once, Willis volunteered, he actually handled the course pretty well, but he refused to go through the mud, he walked around it saying that he was wearing new and expensive boots, why ruin them? At this point the najor realized that he wasn't going to break him very easily and even considered doing the unthinkable, but he thought time had not come to that unless it absolutely had to, but right now he was really considering it.
At the end of the day, it was time for bed, Willis actually wanted to goto bed, he didn't think the snooze joke would fly this time, however everyone else was starting to get annoyed with his jokes, they knew what he was pulling but they weren't there as a joke, they were starting to take it more seriously, but he didn't mind, he knew that this would eventually happen. He opened his journal and wrote how his time was going, he felt really confidant that he can rsist these practices and eventuallt get kicked out, but he also wrote a concern. At about 4 o'clock, or in their terms, '1,600' he passed a heavily locked and large building, as if there was a secret about it, he asked about it but to avoid suspicions, he managed to make a joke about it, but it was obivous that there was smoething thy wanted to hide in it, so he want's to see what it is, and maybe it can be his ticket out of here.
The next morning, it was '0,500' and time for wake up again, and this time Willis got up without a fight, or really a joke, but that was more of tiredness rather than being beroken down, in about an hour he will be ready to kid again. Instead of doing obsticals together, each person was taken into rooms specialized for weapon training, so Willis was taken to the room with the hook swords, and the person incharge of those people was actually a lot more of a humorous person, so Willis was actually somewhat relieved. There eight were people there with hook swords and the first part of the challange is one on one sparing, and Willis was lucky, he got to spare with the cute girl there, however she wasn't so happy to be with the immature person at first, but when she found out she got to swing her swords at him... she came around. The battles began and Willis started flirtying with the girl, named Crystal, but she was clearly not interested. She constantly lunged at him but he was clearly superior, as the author of this actually finds it funny when the guy beats the girl rather than the other way around, but she definatly managed toput up one heck of a fight. So when she flipped back to miss his sword, he knew she wanted to go further than practice. She then yanked one of her swords right down as if she wanted to slice him but Willis interlocked the hooks in his swords and used them as a shield. Willis managed to kick her right sword out of her hand, but he knew that would make her mad, and he managed to interlock the other with one of his, and he flung it out of her hand, he had one. "Sorry sister, but nobody can mess up a face as beautiful as mine, atleast I don't need to wear make up, sorry!" he bragged, with the commander laughing, for once there was actually something to like about this place. At first he was happy that he won, but once he heard that that the losers had to leave early, he knew he got a chance to see that building. On the next round, WIllis wanted to lose, but he still put up a bug fight, he didn't want to look too conspicious, so after a few minutes, he faked a sneeze and managed to drop his swords, which gave his partner the advantage, and Willis had lost.
Once Willis left, he managed to sneak off to find that building, he wanted to know what that place was and why it was there, because he was shown everywhere else. He managed to get to the door but noticed there were no guards this time. He wanted to leave his hook swords outside, but he knew there had to be something up so he brought them. He noticed the door was locked, but snese the bottom of his swords are sharp pins, he managed to pick the lock. Once he got in, he noticed an elevator and got in it, sense the room appeared empty. At first, he wanted to go up, but he noticed there were low underground buttons, that had to be something important, so he pressed it as he got his swords out, in case he got caught... After a while, he got down to the bottom floor and noticed there was only one door down a small hallway, and he wanted to see in the room. Hee walked up and snook a peak through the window trying not to be seen, but what he saw freaked him out a lot. Once he took a peak, he saw a room filled with coyotes! Tall, human sized coyotes, all wearing camoflauge pants, tan shirts, sashes, and they each had a signature weapon, but none of them had hook swords. They were all standing in attention like signature soliders would be, as if they were waiting for orders, and he saw nobody there as a major, so he thought it was a good time if any to go in. Again, he picked the lock and managed to get in. He took a close look at all the coyotes standing in attention and wanted to know what the heck was going on, "I can't even get my dogs to behave this well..." he whispered to himself. He appeared to be unnoticed, as if they didn't even see him, or in coyote's case, smell him, they just stood still. Later, Willis tried to get the attention of some but he couldn't, they were really stuck in attention. He flicked some ears, poked some foreheads, even flung their tails, but nothing, so he felt safe talking now. He then noticed a high ladder above the door leading to a balcony. He couldn't reach it so he jumped up and caught on to it with his hook swords and managed to clime to the balcony. Once he got up to it, he was accosted bt gess who, yup, the major. "You mind telling me what the heck is going on in here?" he yelled at him.
"What's the matter, no joke, no pun, no insult? Have you gone soft on me now?" he simply resonded...
"Well I'm sorry, when I see people here who aren't people standing like statues, I get a bit distracted, also, I believed I asked what the heck is going on in here?" he yelled at him.
"Simple, all these people here were just like you, jokers, didn't care about following the orders, we have special measures for them, and we have special measures to take care of them. Now a dog is very loyal and eager to serve anyone who taks it in, that's great and all, but they don't have the heart of warriors... But do you know what does? Coyotes, coyotes are the perfect soliders, and sense there are no exotic pet stores near by, disobedient soliders work just fine..."
"Hold up, you're telling me that these guys are people who went through some weird process that turns them into catatonic coyotes? Is this some story on FurAffinity or something?" he sarcastically responded knowing the answer... "And for the record, how exactly do you expect me to go along with this, you ruined the chance to surprise me, I found this all."
"You think this is a surprise, haha that's finally a funny one, no, everybody comes here, only the disruptive ones ever come to see it, it's how we fish them out. Only people like you would ever bother comming by." he restated, making Willis worried, but he wasn't going to give up without a fight.
He jumped back down (which resulted in great pain in his feet... but he shook it off) and tried to run out through the door but a whistle was blown and all the coyotes started howling, leaving Willis worried and confused. Once they stopped howling they held up their weapons and were waiting for orders, not to mention their eyes turned into red, white, and blue circles... Then the major told them "Soliders... code alpha beta omega..." apparantly they understood what that meant because right as Willis got to the door, a sword was thrown in his direction, but looked as if it was missing him intentionally, and he knew he wasn't gettign out of this very easily...
He knew he had to fight so he held up his hook swords and was ready to fight. "Well I was hoping to get my nails done and my hair washed but I guess I'll have to move my appointment..." he sarcasticaly said as he charged right back at them. He got accosted by a few of them, and they were no challange; he managed to kick them down very easily, but the next one was a lot harder. She was pretty good but she had a weakness, her nunchucks. She was very skilled with them and was able to get some nice swings in, but she missed each time, Willis got bored and put the hook of his right sword on the chain till it wrapped around the sword then managed to pull her down to the ground! "Sorry girl, I know I'm so cute you want to hit me but I'm not afraid to hit a girl," he told her as he comedically scratched her head like a dog to show off. He only did this for a second until he left to fight one with brawl swords which really got him good, this coyote had some skill and even enough to make WIllis nervious. He lunged right at it but Willis caught both swords, but he managed to get them out of the hooks. He then spun around with the swords out like a fan and charged at Willis. Willis put both his swords in one part and that resulted in one of each losing one of their swords. Willis was nervous, he hadn't had much practice fighting with one sword. Willis put up a large fight but was actually winning now, the coyote was actually holding back. Willis was wondering why this was, and if the others were holding back as well, but why? In fact, why is he only fighting one at a time? WOuldn't sending them all after him get him better? Thinking of this made Willis hold back too and he couldn't focus, which was the plan. While he was thniking and fighting, another coyote snuck up behind him quietly and managed to put a special collar on his neck. Once this happened the coyotes stopped fighting. Willis noticed that and figured not was his chance to escape, so he ran for the door.
Right before he grabbed the nob, the whistle was blown again and something happened to Willis... He couldn't open the door, in fact, he couldn't move. He later fell to the floor and noticed his nose was growing from his face, and it was truning black and wet. This worried him but he also felt his ears grow out and move, to the top of his head, and they became pointy. Willis tried to fight this but the effect was too much, and he noticed his sneses of hearing and smell grew exponentially, it was almost too much to handle. He later felt something growing from his pants, it was a tail that managed to seep through. He was still holding hos sword but he dropped it once his hands receeded and became a coyote's paws! His feet also became paws as well, and yet his boots still managed to fit, better in fact... as if they were designed for coyotes... He hoped this change would be over but there was something left, his fur. His tan fur began to grow all over his anthro body, and with every strand growing, a part of his mind began to slip away. He tried to remember who he was but his memories began to fade, from his home to his friends to even his sense of humor, it all faded. By the time his tail grew its fur, His mind only understood two things, that hje was a coyote and that he was a solider...
Once the whistle stopped blowing, Willis managed to stand up, pick up his hook swords, and stood in attention waiting for orders. His eyes were inclosing circles of red, white, and blue, and was not even Willis anyomore, he was just a mindless coyote ready to serve his duty. The major climbed down and looked right at the new coyote and ordered him to salute, which he did without question. He then ordered him to drop and give him twenty, which he obediently did with great devotion. Finally, he ordered him to speak, and what came out of his muzzle was a yippish barking sound, "Yaaprrrouu!" The major was satasfied with his work, he had made a fine solider out of this immature and resistant bug once and for all...
"Soliders, we ship out to Korea tomorrow, I know you all will be willing to put up a big fight..." the major told all the coyotes as they mindlessly yippd/barked in agreement. He then pulled out a flag to hold up and all the coyotes mindlessly saluted and howled in its presense.
Well there you have it, The future isn't exactly a happy place, and trust me, while Korea may seem likke they never follow through on their threats, they will, and if you don't offer your services and treat them well, you'll become a mindless coyote, your choice. I honestly would chose to be a mindless coyote, but then again I will be turned into one... So I better go wrote some jokes, see ya.
