The sense of emotion in this picture is breathtaking. It has character and dynamic while preserving it's actual meaning without seeming over the top, and it can even bring out emotions in the critic, in a sense, because a lot of us have been there, so to speak.

I'm glad you posted this. It isn't happy, it's not horny, and it's not fun, but it's a wonderful piece. Also before anyone jumps the gun and lands on the bandwagon I'm no emo- I appreciate art as form and this has a lot to offer.

I love the fact that you're submitting your older pieces. I especially like this piece, as it not only has a sense of sorrow, but also a sense of hope. On one spectrum, there is darkness, but on the other, there is light. Definitely a beautiful piece.

Well good thing the tears were added cause he looks more cold than sad. Perhaps if he wasn't looking straight ahead. Most sad people don't confidently look forward.

hey hey i remember this one, I actually had a recent convo with a friend regarding creating scenes or so that involve a bit of sadness or emotional overlay. Went on to discussing, well don't you kind of get a tad depressed yourself when you draw stuff like that or like, to properly convey a sad scene you should generally be sad yourself. But hey! if you can picture it in your head, s'not much reason as to letting your emotions get involved.

You don't draw too many images like this, but they are just as good as the suggestive and yiffy ones. Honnestly, the first thing I wanted to do, on seeing this, is give Joshua a bit hug, then maybe throw a blanket around him and give him a warm mug of something. A drawing like this will always bring out my deeply compassionate side. I truly do hate to see anyone suffer.

This made me cry and i was listening to this at the same time so it made things worse:http://listeninglab.stantons.com/item.php?stno=425927 it sounds really happy at the begining but it slows down and gets all sad and thats what got me most. The middle of the song fits almost perfectly with this pic. I say it to other people and i'm gonna say it again you are a damn good artist Zen.
