Unlike most fire types (most noticeably the charmander line) a Litwick's flame is isn't tied to it's own lifeforce to it's perfectly safe. instead that flame feeds off the life energy of everyone around it, so by putting it out your stopping her from feeding off your soul...
plus that flame is going to get in the way of BJ's isn't it, unless you like your stomach on fire. XD
