Endemic to the North Island of New Zealand, the Stitchbird, also known as the Hihi bird, is a rare honeyeater-like bird that is the only member of the family Notiomystidae. Due to their natural rarity, they took another hit upon the introduction of invasive species, but have seemingly stabilized with a reintroduction back into the mainland of New Zealand.
