I appreciate the comment. You know, I'm really afraid of water (drawing it that is) and this was a challenge both in making the dolphin look accurate (sexy) and making the water look half way realistic. Your comments give me hope!

*hugs a gator* Thank you, studness. It's a challenge for me to do water. I find it difficult to visualize...but I think I'm getting there. I was pleased with how the "whole" of this came out. I hope to do better in the future.

I'll tell you one thing that really made the difference in this piece and "that" was using bristol board for the final. It takes up graphite better than I would have thought and then really smooths out when using blenders and smudgers. This is the bristol board I got for inking...but come to find out that it bleeds. I didn't know "what" I was going to do with the board, then I just used it as a lark for my dolphin and here ya go!

*blushes* Thanks for saying that! My ego needed a boost. :) I'm doing my best to fine tune my skills and come up with things that look a bit more "real", at least in my pencil works and a big help to that end is using bristol board too; great stuff!
