Your eyes slowly adapt to the dim lighting. You blink in disbelief as you scan the massive hall you find yourself in, with your mouth agape and your breathing and heartbeat in a race against each other to find out who can go faster. Gold. Piles of gold. More than you have ever seen in your entire life, which probably could be said about most men. It was so much, you doubt that your remaining years lifetime would be enough to carry all of it down this damned mountain. A problem that is most likely worth no bothering at all you think, as just moments later a jingling of metal coins catches your ears. Your eyes dart to the origin of that noise and the race of your breath and heart come to a sudden halt. In the distance you see four glowing orbs. Not orbs, eyes. Eyes with slit pupils looking in your direction; two of them orange and burning with anger, the other two yellow, sparkling with a hint of curiosity. Both pairs are attached to beasts of massive proportions with bodies covered in thick scales, feet ending in sharp claws and maws equipped with vicious rows of teeth. You now know, that you will not keep a single coin of all those riches. You now know, that you are not welcome here and obviously not tolerated any longer.

This fantastic piece of artwork shows my dragon with some good looking company in his lair. Some time passed since he claimed it as his own. Enough time to let the former glory of this place fade, only leaving cold stone in cold halls, belonging to a cold hearted beast.

I'm really pleased with how this turned out and how Adalfyre drew his lair. The interior of his temple, matching it so well with his own color palette. It's just so gosh damn pretty!

This was actually at first just intended to be a picture together with a friend of mine, but escalated a little, since I got so much into designing that temple and Adal ended up being so passionate about it. I just couldn't resist.
