I'm not even that lucky, when the g++ compiler on Linux terminal finds an error in the source file it does give the position of the mistake but then it begins to spew out nonsensical gibberish for about 200/300 lines and you have to scroll the whole output to find the position in which the error was found. And of course ROOT libraries are unavailable on Windows
You have no idea, but to analyse data we use ROOT and it is impossible to use it on Windows or at least very complicated since you'd have to put every lib you use in the source folder and for every single ROOT class you use there is a specific lib.
Once it's compiled though you have one of the most powerful data analysis tools out there: it's the same program used at CERN.
