Just an update for folks patiently waiting for Red Lantern pages. I have in fact been working on them. . . for several weeks now, actually. But I have to do a lot of background work for the next few pages, so it's taking awhile.
In the mean-time, here's a first glimpse at Grayson Reed, a new character (or not so new for a lot of you) who will be showing up for the first time in the actual comic.
And yes, this is the same Grayson from Off The Beaten Path, for all those curious ;) In all his drunk, scrubby glory.
This also marks the first time I've ever colored this particular character!

I live in a naval town and there is seamen everywhere - you cant go anywhere or do anything without seeing, touching, smelling, dodging, or having to interact with seamen - In fact, there is so much seamen, it gets in your hair and drives you nuts... In fact, driving is insane. To get to work, I have to pass 5 access points in my journey past the ports, and there is always a stream of seamen trying for the same access point at each one. It clogs everything up with them all trying to get to the same port. I dont want to know whats happening while im at work, but on my way back home, I have to fight all that seamen flowing out of those ports to get home...
Anyway, i didnt know that naval fact...

I know i'm not supposed to say this but he reminds me so much of Jack Sparrow both in looks and the way he acts. And it's great to see the first character from OTBP make an entry into the Red Lantern universe. Speaking of OTBP, is the Luther x Puck side story still going to happen ?
All I can think is the song "Whisky in the jar" by Thin Lizzy. Npt quite the chartas theme at all, but similar, And I love classic rock.
As I was goin' over the Cork and Kerry Mountains
I saw Captain Farrow, and his money he was countin'
I first produced my pistol then produced my rappier
I said, "Stand and Deliver or the devil he may take ya!"
I took all of his money and it was a pretty penny
I took all of his money, yeah, and I brought it home to Molly
She swore that she loved me, no, never would she leave me
But the devil take that woman, yeah, for you know she tricked me easy
and a rained dum a doo, dum a da
waitin for my daddy, oh
waitin for my daddy, oh
There's Whiskey in the jar, oh
Being drunk and weary, I went to Molly's chamber
Takin' Molly with me but I never knew the danger
For about six or maybe seven, yeah, in walked Captain Farrow
I jumped up, fired my pistols and I shot him with both barrels
and a rained dum a doo, dum a da, ha, yeah
waiting for my daddy, oh
waiting for my daddy, oh
There's Whiskey in the jar, oh
Yeah, whiskey, yo, whiskey
Oh, oh, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Now, some men like a fishin' but some men like the fowlin'
Some men like to hear, to hear the cannonball roarin'
But me, I like sleepin', 'speacilly in my Molly's chamber
But here I am in prison, here I am with a ball and chain, yeah
and a rained dum a doo, dum a da, he, he
waiting for my daddy, oh
waiting for my daddy, oh
