So you've outgrown the universe - now what
A list of things a critter could grow into once they outgrow the universe.
Do any of you are anythig that isn't on the list?
If you like making stuff grow your eventually reach the point where they run out of stuff to be bigger then. But since we can't be having that we have to make up new and bigger things for them to outgrow. Here is a list of things that happen next.
1. The universe is finite and that's it. This isn't used very often explicitly but is implied a few times. Once you reach this the stories pretty much over your got at most a paragraph or two re describing just how big the critter is before you end or reset.
2. Infinite universe that is homogeneous on these scales. It just goes on and on the on forever. I guess this might work in omegavore story as it lets the critter eat and grow for ever. Otherwise it sort of end the story on an anticlimax which is functionally the same as number 1 but more baize.
3. Finite curved universe. Once you reached to the end of the universe you have ended up back at the start. This doesn't allow one to do some new things but once the twist is revealed there isn't much more to do.
4. Ascending series of nested bubble -verses. This http://www.furaffinity.net/full/12192390/ is probably the best example. More and more layers could be added whenever the critters needs another thing to outgrow. One advantage is it allows the burst out of the various layers. Gets repetitive very fast
5. An atom in the next universe up. The critter discovers that after all its growth it is merely atom sized in the another universe where presumably every atom is another universe. It that universe is outgrown too they the thing and loop again and again indefinitely. The main advantage is it allows the early on stages of the growth were there are all sorts of things to interact with to be repeated. They could easily grow into any kind of universe you imagine. This option has all sorts of potential if one plays with it.
6. Same as 5 but the same universe. I saw that here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5979242/. Once again most of the fun of this one is in the reveal. Also allows someone to get huge by shrinking.
7. There is other stuff but along the 4th and higher dimensions. In this one just growing will be the same as number one. As the these dimensions are almost certainly time and parallel dimensions there is fun to be had with that, as only smarter growers can find these dimensions the critter is going to look around more often. The critter will almost certainly meet alternate versions of itself, snuff can be done with that
8. Grow so much they become real. Pretty similar to number 5 but with the bonus that they can start out at a size where they can already interact with this universe. Can meet with creator. Can loop like 5 too.
9. Turtles all the way down. The planet/universe is carried by (or inside of) a large critter on some sort (probably a tortoise or turtle because they rock the whole world carrying thing). This critter is then on a bigger critter, possibly directly and on its own or possibly are part of whole world/universe. The next critter is on an even bigger one and then so on. One advantage is getting to meet all of the world carriers. They other is the this method gives someone for the grower to interact with at nearly all sizes.
10. The realm of the gods. Once a critter get big enough they get up in the realm of the beings that created and/or look after this universe. The gods could obviously look like anything, assuming they even have physical form. Usually the growing critter ends up become a god too. This too can look as the they grow into the realm of meta-gods, meta-meta-gods and meta-meta-meta-gods and so on.
11. They break reality. They grow so big they don't just break the laws of physics that tear up the constitution of physics as well. Nothing makes any sense anymore as even the very concept of size has gone wacky. I think this would be fun to read about a few times but will be hard to work with for many pages as they smashed the possibly of a plot in their growth.

Here's one that could work.
They outgrow the universe, only to see the other universes all around them. After all, there's more then one. If they keep growing, they may outgrow the multiverse, only to find other multiverses. And then they reach the Omniverse which... I have no idea what is beyond that, since Omniverse consists of EVERY universe and EVERY multiverse, by definition. So unless there's other Omniverses...

Belated #13, once the grower surpasses the third dimension, things start getting strange. The dimensions are much, MUCH bigger -- not just in visibility, but in properties... You need to learn new forms of perception to properly comprehend and explore it. So you can't actually outgrow it until you can *comprehend* just how large it is.
The grower could change as well, different from different viewpoints, look at them one way and they're one huge being, tilt your head and they're a crowd of smaller ones, etc.

Belated #16. Alternate Realities: Once you reached all of reality, there Is going to be alternate realities where you travel to and grow. There is a finite amounts of alternate realities though until you broke every reality.
Belated #17. All Dimensions Wiki. It's like 11, but more baize, After breaking through reality, they met with the Cetaverse, meaning they have to outgrow it to meet the Mandelbrotverse, then the Mega-box, Ultra-box, The Great Triangle, The Great Square, etc. Until they surpassed all of All Dimensions Wiki.
Belated #18 (FINAL). Things Started to Glitch. Expect for you, the Background and Objects are suddenly started to glitch. You are immune to the Glitch. After the max glitch, the Background and Objects Disappeared and you are now the only one left, as the biggest.
