Well, here is finally my biography for my Dracovians, took me a while but i finally made it! Incase no one can read it, i copied it to the description.
Biography: Dracovians
Scientific name: Homo-Draconic
Home Planet: Dracovia, Third planet in the system, orbiting the star Drakus
Capital City: Drakus
Government: Democratic Monarchy
Habitat: Diverse, sporting large jungles, blazing deserts, volcanic ash lands, islands, deep oceans, two polar ice caps, temperate forests and icy tundra
Geological formations: Mostly split between a large continent, a moderately large island chain and smaller continents, each filled with wildlife. Most noticeable is the fact with each Age the layout of the world changes depending on the catastrophe, the recent age is geographically the same, having lasted for at least five hundred years.
Appearance: Many Dracovians exist in all shapes and sizes, however, Males are typically taller than females, ranging to be at least seven feet and two-to-twelve inches in height and also bulkier, depending on the upbringing and racial status. Females are at least one foot smaller, however they also tend to have more developed in terms of waist, hip and breast, yet still carry the strength needed for combat.
Some Dracovians have a set of spikes from the tops of their heads running down, other have hair, due to breeding with the Animales, they developed mammalian traits over time, females in particular developed breasts and mammary glands as a result.
Scale coloration varies, originally they were separated based on elemental affinity (Ex. Red is Fire) and having different colorations of the element they had been born of. However, inter-racial breeding occurred primarily amongst the Lightning and Air dragons, creating a fusion of the two dubbed ‘Storm dragons’ during the Second Age. This caused their scale pigmentation to mix and darken, something many Dracovians at the time declared to be heretical, having a strong emphasis on purity of blood.
This trend of blood purity ended, however when Dracovians numbers thinned, and many resorted to inter-racial breeding, even with other alien species, for survival. Today many Dracovians come in all shames and sizes, from all species about to breed successfully with Dracovians. Nowadays appearances vary, and most generally don’t care what they look like, as long as they are themselves, they’re ok.
Religion: The Dracovians religion is a centered around the Pantheon of Draconic gods, who, according to legend, were given incredible powers by the Primordial, the first dragons in existence who embodied the natural elements they were descendent from.
The Pantheon consists of:
Lae'tus- The King of Dragons, Leader of the Pantheon, and said to be leader of the Divine class of dragons. Signature weapon is described as a Ultra great sword. His domain is the Palace of Gods, where he sits with his other rulers, leading them with a fair and just hand.
Bal'ham- God of Forge and War, worshipped by the forgers and warriors as their patron deity. Signature weapon is a Great Hammer. His domain is the hall of warriors, honoring the many who died in service to him and their home, where they eat, drink and party, as well as fight for fun.
Eth'erex- God of Shadows and secrets, chosen deity of the Harriers and Keepers, Signature weapon is a pair of daggers. His domain is the Shadowlands, a shadowy reflection of the world, where he dances in the shadows, ready to strike at those who plot and scheme.
Ast'urias- The mother Dragoness, wife of Laetus, Goddess of fertility and motherhood, her Signature weapon is a carved wooden charm. Her domain is the Great Nursery, where newborn dragon spirits are born there and tended by the caretakers.
Tal’Vell- God of the Magic, wisest of the Pantheon, patron of mages, his signature weapon is a staff and book. His domain is the Cobalt Tower, where he studies magic both known and unknown, warning people who venture to his lair the dangers of too much knowledge, and frequently kills trespassers and looters attempting to steal his research.
Raz’Gel- God of Death and brother to Asturias, his signature weapon is a scythe. Is in charge of ensuring the souls are taken to the well of Souls to be purified and returned in new form. Is the most vocal against Necromancy. The Graved tend to his shrines in his honor. His realm is the Dead Plains, where the dead are sent to be judged and sent to where they most wish to go.
Sol’ven- God of Craftsmanship, youngest of the pantheon, his weapon is his flute, capable of charming foes, and inspiring allies to fight. His domain is a large building dubbed the Gallery, where he spends his days painting and participating in various artistic works, one moment he can be painting, another sculpting, another time writing.
There are two unofficial gods of the Pantheon, they are:
Val'len- the Paragon, Youngest of Lorkan’s children, a protector of the people who values honesty and hard work, as well as tolerance to others, and helping people because it’s the right thing to do. He had the option to become a God, but declined, instead wishing to live amongst their people, only to reincarnate when they need him. Nicknamed ‘Dragon Jesus’ by some.
Maha'rel- Eldest of the brothers, known as ‘The Silent Watchman’; He who was tasked with watching over and guiding the people to safety when times were rough. Took over leadership of the Order, but vanished a few years after the founding, no one knows what became of him. Many believe he was the one who first lead the Harriers, though this claim has been disputed.
The Primordial were the ancient aspects of creation, charged with overseeing the natural order with the elements, they are:
Zatharan- Primordial of Fire and Leader of the Primordials. Gave birth to the Fire dragons, and taught the art of Pyromancy. Strong but gruff, he believes that fire can be a tool for life and death, how it is used will be up to the recipient. Has a slight gas problem however. Implied to have been in a relationship with Elsa, but never proven.
Elsa- Primordial of Waters. Creator of sea life and all aquatic animals, seen as a mother to both creatures of the sea and monsters. Beautiful and graceful, she is seen as a patron of the arts and cares deeply for the well being of the ocean, capable of unleashing tsunamis in a rage. Implied to have been in a relationship with Zatharan, but besides the occasional teasing, not much else is know.
Stieglitz- Primordial of Lightning, youngest of the group, he represents boundless energy as well as being the smartest of the five. He constructed a massive flying palace where he builds and constructs many machines and experiments. Also he loves gaming. Acts like a child genius but is eager for fun and play when he’s not working.
Terracreta- Oldest of the Primordials and Primordial of Earth. He is in charge of Earth and all its live, known for sleeping a lot and is the laziest of the five, unless he sees environmental damage, which flings him to create earthquakes and sinkholes. Generally the wisest of the five, but also kind to his followers and patrons, so long as they tend to his land he created for them.
Aer- Primordial of Air/Wind and Mistress of the Order, she is a woman who personifies free spirit. She can cause whirlwinds and tornados when enraged, but also purifies the air where it is most tainted. Legends state she was once a lover to Vallen, but no one knows if that is true.
The First- The very first dragon and creator of the Primordials, known as the ‘Universe Dragon’ who created each Primordial before his body decayed and became the Well of souls, having ascended to a higher plane, many believe he is the Universe itself. No one knows who he is, but his power is immeasurable. The Divine dragons are said to be the spawn from him, but can only use light based powers.
The Dracovians have become split on which to worship, between one faction, who worships the Pantheon of gods, and the Vara’Shan, who worship the Primordials. However, there have been a church that worships both, the Primordials seen as the creators and the Pantheon is their champions, which satiates both sides.
However, both sides still revere the First as the original dragon who made them, and still honor him/her.
They also allow women into the clergy, stating the need for diversity in ‘a major sausage fest’ in the church.
They also are harsh with anyone who abuses church authority, usually the charges are very harsh, despite religious freedom, they do not like the church to abuse power stating ‘we’ve seen it happen during the middle ages, we do not want that to happen again’.
However despite there being gods, there are also demon dragons, most fall under the categories set by major religions for demons (Succubi, Incubi, etc.) and being dragons, they are termed ‘The Dragon Demon Lords’ but they are not gods, even if their power is comparable to the Pantheon.
The names of the demon lords are:
Va’geria, the Brood mother- Mother of Draconic succubi and incubi, she seduces men and women alike, living a hedonistic lifestyle. Daughter to the mother goddess, she decided to live a carefree lifestyle. This resulted in her sleeping with many women and men and enjoying everything under the sun, bearing many love children. Fed up with the lifestyle of the pantheon, she left with her children to the underworld. There she happily sleeps with the demons and others that end up there, bearing many children at an astonishing rate, she even converts women to also act as brood mothers to keep the population up. Despite this, she does love her many lovers and children, something she kept as daughter to the mother goddess. Her appearance is that of a bewitching black dragoness, having curves showing that she bore many children, ruby red eyes and cobalt blue tongue.
Utharus, the Savage- Formerly apprentice to Balham, God of War and the Forge, he would use his master’s weapons in the arena, where he earned a reputation as being a savage, bloodthirsty monster. Balham would exile his apprentice for this, but let him keep his sword. Utharus would descend to the underworld, challenging many demons to test his strength against. This eventually made him a demon lord, as he defeated several weak demon lords and cemented his reign as a extremely powerful, if not a bit insane, warrior king. Calling the lands he conqured as his, he built a grand arena where all demons were allowed to fight and test themselves in combat, to the death. Despite the title of ‘The Savage’ he’s actually a good ruler, focusing on military tactics as well as basing his territories, fortifying them and building them to be easily defended incase of battle. However, anything considered weak in his eyes deserves to be used for fuel for his empire. He looks like a large, very muscular crimson dragon, covered in battle scars, one prominent over his right eye, and carries a large ultra great sword.
Sangwyn, the Bloodhunter- By far the darkest and most amoral of the demon lords, so much that Utharus despises him. Sangwyn is a masked individual responsible for horrific and bloody wars, just for the blood he uses as his fuel. His cult, the Cult of Blood, focuses solely on blood sacrifices, which he uses for horrific spells and incantations. He is described as a masked individual, covered in horrific scars, some self inflicted.
Kal’Vale, the Hermit- The most secretive of the demon lords, disguised as simply a grey dragon with a hat, he generally keeps to himself. No one knows his agenda or even why he became a demon lord. All that is known is that he’s the oldest of the demon lords, and by far the strongest in terms of magical power. He keeps to himself, so no one bugs him, but the other demons keep a distance from the Hermit.
Crosom, the Mad- A dark green dragon who looks something akin to a Frankenstein’s monster who went mad seeking forbidden knowledge, stealing books from Tal’Vell, he was punished for his theft and exiled, but not before dabbling in forbidden practices of necromancy and soul arts, among others, but driving him insane as a result. This resulted in his domain, a chain of islands, being full of the most abstract formations, ranging for statues of people made from actual parts of people, to a tree that makes fruit that its juice is blood. Considered to be madness personified, he frequently plays pranks on people, ranging from the other demons to the gods, even other gods in other mythologies, mostly for fun. No one knows if he should be considered the Lord of Necromancy or Lord of madness, not even Crosom himself.
Despite being referred to as ‘Demon Lords’ they are all not inherently evil, just they live life how they want to. Mostly the demon lords keep to themselves, rarely bugging the gods and instead bugging other demon lords out of boredom. The only one who is considered an evil being is Sangwyn, who all other demons fear and despise, should he ever go against the other demon lords, or even all of creation, they won’t hesitate to destroy him if need be.
Demographics:
Dracovians started out as singular species, split into five elemental categories, however, that changed when inter-racial breeding kicked in, seeing that they could control a combined element, such as Earth and Fire creating lava, breeding with others was encouraged. When the advent of the Kash war happened, and they were exposed to other species of life, they were hesitant to attempt to breed with them.
The first Animales and Dracovian child to be produced was a cross-bred, showing that it could be done, this in turn encouraged breeding to help both sides, and soon more species migrated to Dracovia to breed. Nowadays Dracovians are mixed heritage between elemental and species as well, some being from multiple species at once. This however makes their powers weaker the more blood is introduced in the family, but they make up for it with using attributes form another family in their blood.
Fire dragons generally serve as the main munitions builders, building weapons used for siege and ship defenses. Their architecture is reminiscent to Nordic and Viking architecture, having houses build low to conserve heat during winter time. The common scale types for fire dragons are red in all its shades and colors. They generally keep to themselves and can be temperamental, though that seems to have waned in recent generations.
Earth dragons serve mostly as shock troops in the army, but also tend to be easy going people, getting along with everyone. Their architecture is reminiscent of Indian, African and Arabic influence, depending on the area where they live in. The generally live off the land, but they also have advanced medical knowledge, as well as eco friendly tech, being the creators of technology of that caliber. Their scale coloration is green.
Water dragons, sporting a blue coloration, live near and in the seas and oceans, their architecture is Asian and Greek inspired. They are the most artistic of the Dracovians, but also the most graceful. They also have ice dragons, which prefer the frozen areas of the world and generally are the most anti-social, even more than the fire dragons.
Wind and Lightning dragons or better known as ‘Storm Dragons’ due to them being breeding together ages ago. They are generally the most outgoing and also knowledgeable of the Dracovians, being head of the science community, sharing their technologies with the other races. They live in flying cities in the sky, their architecture reminiscent of Incan, Aztec, Mayan and Native American influence. Their coloration ranges on the yellow.
Divine dragons, considered to be the strongest in terms of spirituality and more in tuned with the universe as a result. Their architecture is Gothic inspired, containing influences commonly seen in cathedrals and landmarks such as Notre Dame. Their color ration is white, but also gold and metallic. They tended to live in towering spires and space stations, though they’ve since lived together with their kinsmen.
Government:
Led by the High King of Dracovia, the high King is a symbol of power, ruling all of Dracovia and the entire empire as best. Each of Dracovians are govern by the Four (formerly Five) Dragon Kings, one for each element. Each King is head of a noble house, and under them are smaller houses who answer to them. The noble houses are based on stature and power, the four kings (or Queens depending on if it’s a woman) are at the top of the social list, just under the High King, meaning lesser nobles obey them. Each King is considered the strongest in their own right, strongest being the High king, who rules over all.
Each king can be chosen is based on what rules the house makes. For example: One House would require a democratic vote of leaders based on consensus, whereas another would challenge them to a duel for leadership, whoever won would win the title of king. However, the High king can only be selected if the king is unfit for rule and the king either produced no heirs or the heirs are not fit, which means the kings would decide in combat. Whoever won would become high king, leaving their successor to take their spot.
For the Vara’shan warrior priests, their government is split between three branches, one branch focusing on physical might (The Warrior Caste), another on spiritual enlightenment (The Monks), and a third that combines both (The Combined). The Triumvirate of the Vara’shan is split between a leader that embodies the attribute of each sect, with the three working together to help their people. The leader of the warrior caste is in charge of the armies and defenses of the Vara’shan. The leader of the spiritual caste is in charge of the spiritual goings of the people. Finally the third faction that combines both, allows them the most flexibility in terms of their people, many choosing various occupations.
Military:
Dracovians are generally known throughout the universe as ‘the toughest, destructive, most badass race of warriors you’d do well never to cross’ and having a history of conflict is no exception. Originally starting as warlords, they would burn and destroy hundreds of worlds in glorious conquest, however they would spare their victims if they couldn’t fight, and those who could were given a choice to join them or die.
However it changed when Laetus and the dragons that would eventually make up the Pantheon, saw what they were doing and resolved to stop the senseless slaughter. It cultivated in a war that saw their numbers nearly deplenish. Thankful for the ability to spawn clutches of eggs they rebuilt and became protectors instead, studying science and culture, though they kept a sizeable armor in case of invaders.
Originally wielding energy based projectile weaponry (guns) ; they stopped using personal fire arms after a massacre that saw the deaths of many hatchlings and innocent people. Scarred, they renounced personal fire arms, in favor of swords and other weapons deemed’ barbaric’ by some. However they did keep explosive weaponry, citing they ‘love the explosions’.
Dracovians weapons are now energy based; however they instead use laser swords, lances, shields, all kinds of medieval weaponry, just upgraded. However, when it comes to spaceships, they generally outfit their crafts with lots of weapons and armor, making even a small cruiser deadly in a fight, with fighter escort as well as a deep understanding of mechanics; no one dares challenge the Dracovians.
Due to their reliance on technology, many are surprised they take an interest in magic as well, deeming both as’ one and the same’ they can understand the deep mysteries of the world and machine, creating stone or metallic constructs using crystals found on their worlds.
When joining the military, the applicant is taken through many tests until slotted into a suitable category that fits them.
The military starts with Grunts, then can switch to either the Main Army, comprised of Swordsmen and other smaller unit archetypes seen in medieval military.
The Rangers would be filed under scouts and espionage, tasked with scouting and sabotaging enemy infantry and armies.
The Majin is composed of high ranking magicians and sorcerers, warlocks and wizards, specializing in all forms of magic, useful in all manners on the battlefield.
The Harriers would be considered assassins, tasked with gathering Intel on enemy political climate and eliminating targets posing a threat to Dracovian security, they however act outside the army and work directly with the Kings, delivering information via a spy network.
The highest one can go in military hierarchy is Grand General, when starting out the grunts wear standard issue armor and weapons, but as they rank up, their armor becomes more ornate, even including long coats. The grand General however carries ornate armor and their own personal weapon, and sits amongst the highest of honors for any military minded individual.
They also allowed women into the military, once more stating ‘it’s a freaking sausage fest, we need more female warriors’ which eventually allowed women to gain much respect in terms of political and military life, something the Dracovians’ respect.
Lifestyle:
The Dracovian lifestyle can be summed up in a few short words, “depends on your preferences and what you want to do”. Basically the Dracovians live life how they wish, though they follow a few guidelines, there are some important facts that must be said.
The Dracovians generally are tolerant to other religions, and some even join other religions besides the main Pantheon religion they worship, some due it for freedom, but some want to see new experiences.
When it comes to sex, they’re ok with casual sex, and generally, depending on the social standing of the dragon, they can have more than one mate. The Dracovian High King generally owns a harem comprised of one female from each noble house, to add leverage and to secure loyalty.
Sexuality in Dracovia is pretty low in regards to what preference one has, they don’t discriminate to anyone, saying ‘what you want to like isn’t our problem, if you want to be gay, straight, or anything, go ahead, don’t let it stop you’ to that, they allow same-sex marriage, far earlier than humanity.
Life for women used to be singular, that of being breeders and teachers however after a few movements by women, they were given more freedoms, such as voting, women in the military and women allowed in the clergy. These lead to many social reforms, as well as new insight into the world.
Generally society now tries to empower children to strive to improve themselves and help others when they need help. Due to children aging faster and then slowing down after hitting a certain age (one year for a human would be ten years for a Dracovian), they generally are living life to the fullest, usually engaging in various activities or past times, as they grow older they start slowing down and appreciate life.
When it comes to marriage, Dracovians are ok with casual sex; however, when mating season arrives, and they wish to spend their life with a mate, they mark the partner with their scent so that others know that the partner is theirs. Due to this, the concepts of weddings are foreign to them, often confusing at times.
All citizens in Dracovian space are taught how to defend themselves from danger, mostly its self defense training and combat tactics when starting out, but it slowly changes to get more violent as the child ages, learning how to use their strengths of their species to their advantage.
While they do have religion, and follow their own pantheon of gods, they are ok with following other religions, but instead of following it to the letter, such as with Christianity, they follow the ideal the Bible tried to set, mostly to be kind to others and help when needed.
Dracovians generally believe in helping people, mostly the downtrodden and forgotten, mostly due to personal experiences of seeing numerous instances of neglect at the hands of species, as well as personal reasons from events in the Kash War. Most Dracovians generally tend to be social able and friendly species, getting along well with other races and promote peace, however should someone declare war on them, they will not hesitate to protect their homeland and loved ones, unless there is a chance for peace, they will try to ask for peace, even if it means slaughtering an entire army before asking for peace, most generally take the option for peace after a skirmish.
Just to make this clear, the Dracovians, and animales, are all mine, so no stealing or using them without asking permission from me!
