Spike has got enough of Butch's sarcasm and so he decided to crash his car like a tin can, just for show the honey badger his new-found powers.
So now we have seen why Butch was so shocked in the last panel.
I can't blame him actually. I mean, that car may have been a lousy car but it was a car nonetheless.
We also see Spike showing a glimpse of his really evil side, when he threatens to do the same to Butch.
It's quite a classic ... every time a bad guy acquire new powers he has this desire to boast about it.
