2015 project.
Yay, I finally have a new Jazzdragon to show off! Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, here is a festive dragon jamming with his maracas.
As usual, this is one of those multi-medium extravaganzas.
The dragon itself is done with ink, watercolor, and Prismacolor pencils. The maracas are jasper stones.
There are all kinds of musical notation stickers, as well as a bunch of iridescent bubble things I found on one of my art store raids. There are also acrylic mosaic tiles, and the large green tiles are repousse metal that I tooled into Mayan symbols (mostly having to do with water; source: Codex Borgia). There are lapis lazuli stones (the blue squares), and there are some blue-dyed chalcedony pieces as well. The background is acrylic and glitter. Lots and lots of glitter.
