Daddyfox and I did a collab for the Anthrocon Conbook this year. I kinda had to rush on the color job due to getting it a few days ago from him and school work taking the majority of my free time but I hope it will turn out great printed.
I was planning on doing my own but with only having half the lines completed, looks like I wont be able to finish before the deadline of today lol.
But har har har come find us in artist alley we will be drawing it up this year together. This will also be Daddyfox's first Anthrocon neh, first furrycon altogether. I get to break his furcon cherry....well not me lmao but you know what I mean!
This just makes me wanna get Pandora's Viking outfit done asap!

I know that personally thus why my image doesn't have horned hats, this one is more based on sterotype and badassery I'm sure Daddyfox knows that as well lol I actually did research since I'm planning my outfit for AC, I found it interesting. I love that they had different color dyes and such. Even thou my outfit will be more fantasy than realistic since it will be a kittyhorse strolling in it, I figured I could take artistic license lol. But yes I know they didn't have horned hats :p
To put your mind at ease -- as best I can -- I too am well aware of the historical inaccuracies. You said it best though, "Rule of Cool." Bones there has Horns naturally growing out of his head. So, it felt right to go with the stereo-typical and wrong, horns on everyones' helmets.
Also, for what it's worth, those plates were meant to be leather. BUT, we were under a tight deadline, and the only colours I mentioned beforehand were those of Bones' fur. Totally slipped my mind to mention any clothing colours. That said, plate does, again, look cooler.
So long as it's still eye-candy though, I can't feel too bad about any historical fibs, right? heh
