Hello there readers of stories of people who are so lonely they trun to furry strangers on the internet for comfort. It's time I tell you another story that will seem like it will fill the void in your lives so just sit back and read. And please don't take any of that seriously, the author is just a comedian. Remember being a kid and watching those old cartoons that said the lion was the king of the jungle? That's nice and all but who is king of the forests? How many of you haerd who the king of the woods is? Surprisingly there is none but now the mystery can be revealed, because not even the forest animals know who, but they are about to learn who the true king of the forest is.
So before we get started, first I want to introduce two very impportant characters to the story. First, meet Scott the squirrel (voiced by Jess Hernel), a happy and independant animal who always believed that he can do anything and face anyone with his paws held high. He was kind of rebelious growing up and never really listened to his parents unless it was important like picking up hit nuts off the floor. While he isn't like this anymoer, he still manages to hold his independence and think he can do anything if he puts his mind to it.
Next, we have Truman the skunk (voiced by Jim Cunnings), he is new to the forest and doesn't know who anyone is yet, and is eager to meet everyone. He is very demanding and he doesn't like to take no for an answer, when he wants something he wants it and trust me, you do not want to tick him off at all, he won't hold back on his spray...
When Truman moved to the forest he was at first concerned nobody would listen to him or take him seriously because of his scent, but after some planning he figured out how to get people to listen to him, and trust me, it will work wonders to which the lights of which you have never seen unless you have read the author's previous stories... Truman came across a tree and noticed there was a squirrel in it and thought it nice to say hello and introduce himself. When the squirrel came down he greated the skunk with an average welcome and the two seemed to hit it off well.
"Hey, I'm new here, I snuck in some human's car and followed them through their camping trip but they left so I'm stuck here, would you mind showing me around?" the skunk asked hoping to get aquainted with the animals in the woods.
The squirrel was not really in the mood to do so, but he actually said yes, he wanted to make a good impression with this skunk, better safe than smelly he thought... "Oh sure, there's a lot of animals here thatwould be very happy to meet you." he responded as he lead the way, only to have the skunk humorously shove him out of the way, as he wanted to be first...
The two went across the woods and the first they met were a pair of badgers, who don't often get a long... which the squirrell often enjoyed watching... The skunk introduced himself to the female badger (voiced by Cree summer) and she didn't seem to be happy with his presence... and she was not very suddle about it... "Oh... hi there... nice to meet you I guess... I'm Tammy... and um..."
The second badger interjected her (voiced by Richard Horvitz) , trying to make a nicer introduction to the skunk, "Hey, please ignore her, she had a lot of worms beforeyou got here, I'm Daryl and it's nice to meet you." he said as the squirrel whispered into the skunk's ear that something fun to watch was comming...
"Hold up brotha, sense when do you interupt me? I don't think you understand my place here, noe listen up here, you can..." she began, but...
"Honey you don't scare me..." he then kicked some dirt to her face... "Movies likes to make the girls the stronger ones but in this one I beat you every time, so you can go bury yourself and..."
"Oh nu uh, I ain't some doll y'all can just order around, I am a strong and independant woman and I..."
"Girl you get your act together or I will act...!" he then through a twig at her.
"Oh now ya gonna get it...!" she then charged at him trying to attack him, but every time she tried, he dodged or got her. She ran but he played the old Charlie Brown trick and she fell over, then she tried to through berries from the bush at him, but he caught them all in his mouth and then burped, then she tried charging at him with her claws in the air, and he just got out of the way, which ended with her getting hew paw stuck in a tree... As she was about to fish her way out (which was not easy... Truman interjected loudly...
"EVERYBODY STOP!!!" he yelled as the two looked at him in fear. "You two are badgers, you like diging in dirt, do you guys really need to have standards over each other? Now I'm gonna leave, and the next time I see you fighting... I'm not sure, because it won't happen again, got it?" the badgers nodded in unison as Daryl helped Tammy dig her paw out and she apologized.
The skunk and the squirrel walked off and Scott was annoyed that he cut the fight short and wanted to know why he did, but the skunk wanted his new friends to get a long, plus it was his first chance to show how good he was at getting what he wanted. The squirrel was a bit annoyed at this and he was about to tell him off but they ran into a river otter as they stopped by the stream. The otter was hesitant to talk to the skunk due to a past memory involving a skunk and a scent... A cut away goes to the otter seeing a cute female skunk and comes by to say high but he ends up farting... and he look very embarassed... Returning to the river, the skunk made his first impression, by helping him crack open an oyster.
The otter (voiced by Jess Hernel) was hesitant to speank to the skunk, and the squirrel was enjoying seeing him stutter... The skunk decided to explain himself to thee otter but to no avail, he still wouldn't talk to him, so Truman demanded, "HEY, when someone is talking to you the decent thing to do is to respond back, now when I get done you are going to tell me your name clearly, got it?" the otter nodded...
"Okay... I'm Hurkel and I'm a very timid otter."
The squirrel was annoyed again, he doesn't like how this skunk is ruining his fun, so he left him alone.
The next morning, the Truman returned to Scott's tree and told him to get out of bed and look around the woods again. Scott was expectidly resistant, so Truman tried again... and again...
"Wake up... Scott... Wake up... okay this is getting me nowhere so... GET UP YOU LAZY SQUIRREL AND COME FOWN HERE!!!" he began quietly and then got very loud... The squirrel was annoyed and wanted to know what the keck is going on, and then he noticed that the badgers and the river otter and some others were with him... looking almost catytonic. Scott wanted to know what the heck was going on and he wanted to know now. "Before I answer any questions, first you need to show that when I say do something, you will do it with no resistance, got it?" the skunk insisted
"Hey, no, I do what ever it is that i want and what I want is to know what the heck is going on and why aren't those badgers trying to kill each other?"
The skunk chuckled a bit and realized it really didn't matter if he knew or not so he thought he might as well explain, "Remember how I said I snuck into some human's camping trip? Well I heard some stories about some area called a jungle and I heard that lions are the king of that place, do you hear me?"
"So what does that have to do with you bssing everyone around like you're their mother?"
"Well simple, if a jungle can have a king, why can't a forest? I've always had an knack for giving orders, but if I'm king of the forest, than I can give as many orders as I want, and I intend to make it happen." he said, in a more narcistic tone, now that his true demanding nature has been revealed.
"Okay there is so much I need to wonder, first, how on earth would that even happen? Two, I'm guessing ou convinced them that you already are, so how exactly did you do that? Three, and most importantly, how on earthh do you expect me to think that, I mean you just gave out everything, why do villans do that anyway?" the squirrel responded then asked to poke fun at that plan revealing trope...
"Oh it's easy, sense I am a megalomaniac, I learned some powerful skills to help me accomplish my goals. I believe you noticed how all the animals have skunk scent on them?"
"I thought that was just you but now that you mention it, yes..." he responded, being more worried about that, as if it was important (it is).
"After some practice and some tantric spells I performed at the river bays, my spray gained a special ability to make animals more... submissive..." he said as he turned around and lifted his tail... Scott tried to make a run for it and wanted to get the H E double hockey sticks outts there, "Badger! Hold him down!"
Afterwards, the two badgers had worked together to block his path, but Scott wasn't giving up without a fight! Scott managed to jump over the badgers with his squirrel agility, but Daryl caught his tail and held him still. Scott got away but he was not done yet, running away with Daryl not that far behind him, he ran into Tammy and she wanted to let some anger out...
"Oh you don't now who ya playin withz britha, now just standz still so..." Tammy began but Scott kicked her ankle and she fell over... "Ouch... oh it is ohn now man...!"
she jumped up and lunged herself right at him, but Scott ducked and she rammed into Daryl... Before he could escape, he stopped to laugh at her mistake again, but the two badgers are now fighting on the same side... and this squirrel better run... When the badgers got up they meant buisness... Daryl grabbed Scott byt the tail and managed to throw him all the way to Tammy... which hit her... but she shook it off and wanted to strike, but the squirrel poked her eyes and easily shoved her away as she exclaimed pain in a comedic fashion. Scott was about to go after Daryl but even entranced, these badgeers are weak and he went off following his sister... Scott thought he was in the clear and was about to head off to finally get the H E double hockey sticks outta here. But before he could leave, he was caught by Hurkel by surprise and pinned down. This was unexpected because Hurkel is really timid and passive, so this means this effect must be strong, the badgers can't fight to save their lives but if this otter does this, than there is no turning back, but he still had to try to convince him to let him go.
"Hurkel, you know this isn't you, you need to..." he tried to beg, knowing his impending faith but it was no avail, he put his paw over his mouth and responded...
"Look, your rebelious streak and independence is over, just leave it at that, it will make it easier, it was easier for me..." he replied.
"How did this even happen?" the squirrel asked.
"Let me tell you till truman gets over here," another flashback from him, to the last day to what happened once Scott left. Hurkel remained nervous around Truman but they managed to get a long well. The skunk asked the otter why he was so nervous around him and he reexplained his embarasing story to him and Truman explained his story to Hurkel. After they got a long better and Hurkel grew more comfortable with him. Truman got a bit more sinsiter in his actions but Hurkel just thought he was joking. Once Truman got on the subject of his obsession with being the boss of everyone, Hurkel grew uncomfortable again, but even after Truman yelled at him again to step up, he remained shy and passive, so there was only one thing Truman could do, it wasn't tim yet but he had no choice... it was time to show what he could do... When the otter looked down to grab another rock, the skunk turned around and lifted his tail, once the otter saw this he became even more timid, andd tried to beg for him to not spray him with skunk stink but he was too passive to ask, and he was sprayed... Returning to the present, he continued with, "That's how, me took out all my fear with his wonderful scent, that's why he would make the perfect king of the forest." As the squirrel realized he was going to lose his freedom, the skunk came by and was ready to make him a subjet...
"Are you ready?" he simply asked.
"...Huh, yes..." he sighed and said, knowing theere was no more fighting, it was time to accept his fate. Then, Truman turned around and lifted his tail... his spray was released and hit Scott... At that moment, at first Scott was repulsed at the smell, but the more he took it in it grew on him, more and more... until the point to where his eyes turned red.
"Scott, I Truman the skunk, am the king of the jungle, I give the orders and everyone must submit to them, there is no such thing as rebellion or independence, only obedience..."
These new ideas sunk into the squirrel's mind, they were against everything he believed but they made sense, in fact, he thought they were true, no he knew they were true, the skunk was king of the forest, and there was no need to rebel, only the need to follow the king. The otter had released the squirrel as the badgers returned, he was ready to serve Truman the skunk. They all walked off to spread the word of the new king to the forest, they had a lot of work to do...
So there you have it, Africa, you can have lions as the kings of your jungles, in America, we will now be ruled by the skunks, it will take some time, but soon our forests will have stories about the great and powerful skunks and their journey towards full power...!
