Jackie was born in Kenya, but spent her youth in a Scottish slum. With an overworked, inattentive mother, Jackie was often left to the mercy of the rebellious youth. As a teen, she grew into the poster child for the punk rock movement. When she wasn't jamming out with her friends, she was out stealing beer and getting into fights. When her mother finally took notice, she shipped her off to America to live with her aunt. Jackie went off on her own the first chance she got, instead choosing to nurture her talents. She grew desperate when no local rock or punk band would take her. As a last resort, she joined the budding jazz band that would eventually emerge onto the scene as The Showoffs. Her slap bass skill made her a shoe-in. While the original line-up disbanded in less than a year, Jackie remained by the lead singer, Trisha's, side, having grown very close to her.

Through the years, the entire experience of being in the band has mellowed her out and these days she is always striving to be a better person, even if her cold, aloof attitude doesn't make it that obvious.
