YES omg it has been too long since I have pushed myself to do a painting!! And this came out pretty glorious if I do say so myself.
This was inspired by an amazing piece of street art that was done right near my workplace - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1433814030252464&set=a.1377629892537545.1073741831.100008716411517&type=1&theater
But now the piece has mysteriously disappeared :\ Don't know what they've done with it. But at least it inspired me, for the few days that it was there.
I've never done anything with mandalas before, but I have been fond of them for some years. I surprise myself with how easy I find it to incorporate design-like elements since it's not something I do often. However this was rather time-consuming. Worth it though :) I want to do things like this more often, ahhhh.

Holy shit wow O______O I don't even know where to begin or what to say, I'm at a loss for words. Your art is so incredible, and this is no exception. You would never know you hadn't really worked with mandalas before, because they flow so beautifully with the image and fall into just the right areas to seem natural. Your coloring is beyond superb, you put so much detail into your work, but not so much that it's overwhelming. Sometimes people add so much detail it distracts from the image, but you have added in detail so smoothly and flawlessly it flows so well. I have been around this art community for like, 500 years and your art has astounded me in so many ways. You are definitely one of my favorite artists out there. Ok end long comment. Just wanted to leave you a thorough message as this image deserves all the positive feedback ever!! <3
Oh my goddd thank you so much!! This is the most flattering comment I've gotten on this for sure. And that makes me feel awesome knowing that I'm one of someone's favorite artists ;___; I know I've seen you around the community over many years too as your character and name are familiar to me. Thank youuuu for such a sweet and thoughtful comment <33
Would love to know if I could use this as my phone background! It's really gorgeous. And I'd love to get a print of it sometime. I love going through my submissions and finding that you've put out a new piece of art, because everything you do bring to the table is always stunning and clean in its colors and expression of emotions ♡ It just reminds me why you're one of my favorite artists!
Certainly, go for it! :3 I've had a couple people ask me about prints so I'll need to find out if it's possible.. since it's not the dimensions of a regular piece of paper, I'm not sure how it would work.. I'm new to printing my work out in general. I think I will go to a copy place and ask them soon. And gaaaah thank you so much! It's always such a huge compliment when someone says I'm one of their favorite artists!
O_O youre right, it is glorious! i agree with everyone here, this would make a kick ass print. you should definitely look into it. :) im so glad you found time to do some art for yourself, something youre proud of and something you are happy to share with the rest of us. thank you. ^_^
thats the thing about street art, its there, then its not there. thats the beauty of it. thats also its flaw. sometimes its there just long enough to catch someones eye to inspire them to do something of their own, and when that happens it has served its purpose. sometimes its just gone and forgotten. just like a mandala. funny how cyclical life is. ;p

first point: yah, thats the cool thing about rare earth elements: it makes art like.....cool...an stuff.
second point: yup. kinda like here on FA. there are amazinggg artists on here (like you o.o;;) that nin-furries will never ever hear of, never see...even if the art is exactly their style. therefore theyre missing out on something AMAZING that they never knew they even missed. i remember i became a furry because i saw ONE piece of furry art when i was like.....ehh 12 or 13 maybe, and it stayed in the back of my mind for years. it was pornographic, and honestly it kind of disturbed me (it was a doberman jerking off x3), but later on in my life, it stayed with me, i still remembered that image, and i wanted to see more, albeit different raunchy furry porn. if it werent for that one damn picture, i might have skipped "furry" entirely. actually the doberman picture was icky and i wonder whyyyy my subconscious drew me towards something that offended me. go finger. \_(ツ)_/

Yeah there was one piece of artwork that did it for me as well. It was a lupe by Henu (don't think she's an active artist anymore), and once I saw that I started drawing lupes everywhere haha and that rest is history :) It is pretty amazing how one moment in time can so significantly affect your life's trajectory.
for real. speaking of things once you do it it sticks with you forever: remember our conversation about how there arent enough furry tattoo artists out there? well i found one whos reallyyy good, i think youd really like it. ^_^ ...theyre actually really close to where i am right now, im thinking of contacting and buying a piece. a couple pics in particular, i thought of you when i saw it and i was like "damn Saruki would totally dig this." >.>

Welll my commissions are really full at the moment, so can I put you on my waitlist? ;-; I have 15 people in my queue, just so you know. Will probably take a month or two til I can get to it :( But, I use PayPal and take payment before starting ^^ I'll let you know when I'm ready for you, if you want to do that :)
The similarity to henna from weddings (a very submissive symbol), makes me very happy. I love all of it, I don't care what you do with me so long as my collar is included. I'd like it to be a normal paper dimension, so that I can have a fine print made and hung in my home office and the focal point of my business lobby. Teal is my favorite color. That's all I can think of. ^.^
This piece caught my eye immediatly ! So cool ! I love the style and the colors.. crazy how a piece of street art inspired this. Some of my biggest inspirations come from street art ! Keep it up :D
Also, made me super excited to see someone posting my gallery :,3 didnt expect to see that !

Thank you :3 I want to do more pieces utilizing design and symmetry, and I saw an artist one time using some program where she just drew one side and the program automatically filled in the other side as a mirror image.. which would make doing things like this SO much easier, but I have no idea what the program was ;-;
