Short Circuit is a unicorn who's special talent is technology, specifically using his magic to control computers, machines, and other electrical and electronic devices. He can also has a knack for throwing together what would seem to be random pieces of electronics to make strange yet incredibly useful devices.

He got his name when he started showing hints of his special talent, albeit with about half of his "inventions" going up in smoke due to instability, too much power, or simply overpowering the limits of the device's own components. While building most of these devices, he also managed to absorb so much voltage from accidental electrical shocks that he has actually built up the electrical resistance of his body so much that he could easily be a lightning wrangler for the weather team.

He also has a nickname; Shorty. This is actually a play on his physical size. For a unicorn, he is unusually well built and is barely an inch shorter than Big McIntosh himself.
