As someone who is heavily influenced by anime and has always been told that I need to do other things and learn to do other things (which I did, its not that I dont know how to do more "fine art" its that I choose not to) this was a really big compliment to me, along with a few months ago when a professor (who worked on Spiderman and hates manga) said that my style was almost 50/50 easter and western. These were really big things to me because frequently in the professional art world in America doing things that look like anime and manga get negative responses
