yep, the IS is awesome, where I'd have to at least get to 60th to stop motion, with the IS i can dip down to 20th and be still ( or as still as the subject cooperates) and that's huge for keeping the iso as low as I can ( I hate noise) now if I had a 1D I could have a noise profile at 3200 that a 60D has at 800 but.....yeah that aint happinen this side of powerball
though in this case at iso 400 I was at 1/500th so steadiness wasn't an issue. up priced lens' do their job well!
