the player isnt working and when i download the wav file the fronf half is messed up

im a beetlejuice fan and although all i hear right now is a short snippit of sound

Audacity + Lame is a good quick easy way to encode to mp3.

As for the messed up beginning, was because of Cool Edit Pro adding an extra "HEY!" to the mix when I told it to only mixdown the selection. Is Audacity free?

Audacity is VERY free and can be had here:

it also boots a lot faster then cool edit pro, but it doesn't have as many features,
its very simple to use and is great for cleaning up and editing samples but although you can use it as a multi-track to arrange samples its not as good for that since its just more of a sound editor,

and so is Lame (mp3 encoder)

when you first try to encode to mp3 with audacity it will ask for an encoder to use,
point it to where you put the lame codec (its pretty straightforward)


i want to throw together a creepy ass track of sound effects for halloween just for the heck of it but imma little too lazy to wrangle up some samples at the moment.
