This handsome fellow was commissioned by  folix at IFC 2014. It was done larger than I normally work, and in full watercolors. I did quite a few sketches of different poses, because I wanted to get it just right.

The banners represent the four elements of his wrist/ankle markings (earth, air, fire and water), and the purple/white smoky image at the head of the staff represents the fifth element, 'soul' or 'mind'. (the symbol for this is at the base of his tail, which does not show in this illustration.)
