This is one of the doll heads I'm currently working on, I have to finish her ears yet and she has tooth-pick canines right now as markers for where I'm going to put her teeth (don't know if you can see that in the picture) Her ears will be magnetic so a wig can be put on her head and she'll have a skull cap that can be removed so that glass eyes can be put in of varying colors. I'm very happy with her, her character is suppose to be serene and I feel like I was able to pull it off. She's from a Rp my friend and I do together that has a lot of Anthros, Furrys and Yaoi in it.
The milky white/mottling colors you see are from the clay being boiled to get it hard. Eventually, when I'm done, she'll be cast in resin, right now she is just Super Sculpey over an Aluminum Foil ball.

Thanks Foxy Tangerine!
Thank you Wovstah! I haven't had much time for awhile as I'd been caring for my mother who'd been ill, but now I'm back in the swing of things.
SketchyChik - That's a tough one, I haven't completed a doll yet. To me a complete doll would be first made in Super Sulpey which costs $11.99 for a 1ld box. It takes about a box to make the head. The initial body (which I will be making to make copies of in Resin) will be made out of styrofoam overlapped with an air dry clay and gesso. Then the silicone (which is very expensive, I haven't bought any yet so I'll have to save up) then the Resin to Cast (which is also very expensive and I haven't bought yet) I'll need Kleen clay to make the mold parts... I could go on and on here.. it's best just to say that at this time I can't really answer that question. But I can't keep the doll in Sculpey, over time it get's brittle and cracks. I want something that will last and I want to be able to make copies of and paint different ways... with different eyes and hair... just thinking about all that makes me not mind all the work I'm headed for.
