First things first. If I had never done this picture I'd never know how to do lines. Having taken a break from the online fur sites I go to, due to too much drama being around I went to Gaia online, where there are several good artist! I offered at a few places to color, since it seemed to me I was a good colorist. Then I met this girl, who owned an evolving pet shop on the site. She let me be a guest artist, and as a result I finally figured out how to do lines. But that's not all!!!
I also figured out how to do fur!!! Needless to say once I finally got that down my art improved like 10 fold!
Here's the scoop, this is a relined, modified outline I got permission to do from that friend, the coloring is all mine, the lining is all mine all of it mine *chuckles* Only the sketch that I started with as a guide wasn't mine. I used the bangel cat as my source of reference for the markings. All of this was done with a mouse in photoshop though, I so wish I had one of those pad things. Took me about 9 hours and 32 ish layers. But well worth it. *Smiles*
Anyways, This is what my character Aponi (Native American for Butterfly) looks like in her quad form, she's able to shift into an anthro form as well. I really liked how it turned out. I finally figured out how to do decent lines in Photoshop so I'm happy, and I got myself some new brushes which i used on the tail and the rest of the body to give it something of a furry 3D look instead of looking flat.
Side note: Originally this image was going to be for a male character named Gizmo, but later I changed my mind on that. Anyways. Aponi is here to stay, hope you all enjoy.
I did not sign this piece of work because while I colored it and modified the original image with the owners approval, the original concept and style isn't mine.
However the character Aponi = mine!
PS, aren't bangal cats so adorable *Definitely colored this one better than I did with the Tenchi painting*

you should see how I roleplay her. she's tiny. But most don't see it like that as she see's herself as this big beast stalking it's prey. People who don't know what she looks like when I roleplay against them act so funny when they have their characters act like something big and evil is coming to get them, only to have a small critter pounce their foot and roar a meow at them
yeah I like cute art, don't get a chance to really explore it much. Not much of a chibi artist... wouldn't mind sometime doing a chibi of me, not anytime at current though lol But I adore good Chibi art. Perverse art is kewl too but Chibi art or funny art gets my attention more, in most cases.
I just tend to do nekkid pics because it's simpler than putting a fur into clothes. I'm not a clothing designer lol.
