Okay, so this is Tenchi. And this is my first attempt ever at painting. Here's what happened.
I started this piece in 2005 but never actually finished it until 2006 during summer, got caught up in college and school, life has a way of doing that to individuals at times. Anyways, when I had first started this piece the computer I had went kaplow and I was left with out a computer for a good half of a year.
Fortunately the following year had me with some money to spare so I was able to get myself two things (at the time) a cell phone and a cheap put it together yourself kind of computer. Fortunately my father, who lived in town at the time, knows computers so he did all the hard part, but I learned a few things watching.
Anyways during the following summer I ended up finishing the painting. I both like and don't like it. I see so many flaws, but over all I like how she turned out. when I finally signed it I dated it to the previous year since that was when I initially finished the drawing on the canvas. I took a picture of it with my cell phone (Which I no longer have.) And what you see is the end result.
When coloring Tenchi, my biggest concern was trying to keep the colors from bleeding into each other. Tenchi's markings were based off of a Bangal Cat, one of my most favorite looking house cats. Fell in love with them when I created Tenchi's main look.
