HEY GUYS! I DID YOU A HAPPY HALLOWEEN THING! WOO!
Hopefully a few people will get this (and no this is not a specifically "I Luv Halloween" reference. I enjoy that comic, but not a reference to it). XB
Basically during the 1970's there was a big scare during Halloween about people inserting razor blades into apples and distributing them to Trick-or-Treaters on Halloween. It turned out that it was much ado about nothing and the few apples that did actually have razor blades were given to the kids by their own relatives (go figure...).
So that is what this is a reference to.
I didn't want to give Reynard and Edgar generic Halloween costumes (vampire, princess, ghost, etc.), so Reynard is going as a butcher and Edgar is going as a Union Soldier during the United States Civil War.
I wanted to experiment with a bit more of a textured, mottled shading (rather than just plain cell-shading). After all, I wanted a more grimy look for Halloween. Maybe when a little overboard on the background, but again... IT'S HALLOWEEN! I'm allowed to go overboard.
Babble, babble, babble.
I will reply to all my comments and such later, when I have more time... and such.

My mother had to check every piece of candy and fruit we got for slices and pinholes. Some of my friends had to throw away anything that wasn't in the original store wrapper. Sucked to be them, the ladies in my neighborhood KNEW homemade goodies! :P
Oh, and...HALLOWEEN, WOOHOO!!!!!
