My delightful little plaster carving sculpture is finished! It took far longer than I expected even for a small block that I started with. The painting itself took three multi-hour sessions.
It's about 8 or 9 inches tall, about as wide too. It stands on its own or on the premade wood block base. :D I just like it for framing and making sure no one knocks it over.
Huzzah! This piece was featured in the Alleghany County Fall Festival's Art Exhibit and subsequently sold to an art collector! More sculptures, including carvings like this, are in the works, though!
