Unlike most races, the Eridon live as nomadic tribes, scattered haphazardly deep in the subterranean tunnels deep beneath the boggy Foreverglades. Every tribe is lead by a queen as females are held in higher regard, since the males cannot control magic.

Unlike normal females, whose gestation period is six months, the Eridon queen is born pregnant, and her child's growth is slowed down to her entire life. She does not give birth until the day she dies, after which the child is crowned queen and the tribe immediately migrates to a new home.

Because of the additional life energy from the growing fetus drawing in magic naturally present in the air, the queen is the most powerful sorceress in a tribe, and serves as a seer, adviser, protector and healer. In only three days after birth they can speak and walk, and in a week they can perform basic spells.

Very rarely are twins born, but so far they have always been fraternal- one male; one female.
