On April 14th, 1860, the Pony Express first delivered mail between St. Joseph, MO and Sacramento CA and cemented itself into the folklore of the wild west.
A few days ago, in celebration of the 155th anniversary of that delivery, Google celebrated with a fun little flash game as the google doodle. Ironically enough, it came around the time that a fun little tradition, Draw a centaur day, made its annual appearance. The timing, plus a separate centaur commission I'm working on, inspired me to make this piece, based off of the centennial pony express stamp. Also tried a new method of lineart as a test. Let me know what you think
