If you ever roll through Virginia there is a decaying steam locomotive in the center of richmond it at the Science Museum of richmond.

In Brazil we have one abandoned in the station of Leopoldina, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, state of Rio de Janeiro, it's in the colors of the CBTU (Companhia Brasileira de Trens Urbanos), the original owner was the EFCB (Estrada de Ferro Central do Brasil) that bought it in 1945, with other 35 more units, today the locomotive belongs to the CBTU, it worked in a maintenance shed of the CBTU before it being abandoned in 1997, the SPR (São Paulo Railway) bought 4 units in 1948 and its successor the EFSJ (Estrada de Ferro Santos a Jundiai) bought 2 in 1956, all the other 35 from EFCB and the 6 from the SPR/EFSJ was scrapped.

I wonder how many owners ago the nose was chopped. You see quite a few EMD Geeps with chop noses, but Alcos are far less common.
