When I was wee, I had a special Halloween toy. It was a small, tennis-ball-sized plastic jack-o-lantern, and if you pulled its stem, its lid opened and revealed a black cat!
It was very nearly the Coolest Thing In The World.
In an attempt to recreate its sheer awesomeness, I decided to make a special Halloween gumdrop of a Chocobo inna Pumpkin. (Being a bit of an anime freak, my creativity demons declared it must henceforth be called Pumpkin Chocobo!)
Sculpy clay with foil core, painted with acrylics and varnished with satin-finish. (Photo taken before varnishing, since the varnish, while water-proofing and protecting the gumdrop, also tends to play mean tricks on my camera's flash mechanism.) He's about two inches high, an inch and a half deep, and a bit over an inch wide. (Quarter provided for reference. Don't mind the spiderweb; I assure you it and the jack-o-lantern bottom are on equal ground. It's just that big.)
