Margarita was born on one of the Caribbean islands as the only daughter of a bar wench and a nameless sailor who left with naught but a dagger and a bag of gold for his child-to-be. Her early life was spent in the bar, cleaning mugs and floors in between fights with the rowdier patrons. Margarita soon grew up to be a strong young woman, and inherited the bar after her mother died.
It was a mixed blessing; tending a whole bar by herself was no chore, but the patrons would constantly attempt to woo her to bed once the alcohol got down. Day after day she endured countless gropings, jeerings, and even getting herself into barfights. After three years of fighting, Margarita got sick of it all and ran away, but not before poisoning the rum of her most unruly customers.
After running from a mob of angry sailors whose crewmates had died at her hand, Margarita managed to board a pirate ship, The Vicious Vixen, and quickly earned her place as a member of the crew. Her strength and wits proved her a valuable cannoneer, and Margarita can be often found below deck, weightlifting with chainshots. She still carries the dagger her unknown father gave her to this day.
