And another old art pic for tonight - moving on from April to June '79 - same theme - experimenting/practising Art Nouveau and fabric folds etc...and playing with religious/mystical ideas to explore their appeal...
Gana was my very own Moon Goddess from my early mystical-magic crazed early teens when i was sort of half-psuedo-buddhist/psuedo-hindu/whatever (pre-college)...courses in logic, epistemology etc cleared part of that up, lots of mindfulness practice got rid of the rest of the kid stuff - but, as in previous post, i still found religious iconography interesting...."Anjali" is an Indian hand gesture ("mudra") that is typically done while bowing to each other, the guru, etc, - offering the world, universe, heart in your hands that open up as you lower your hands from heart...was around for 2,000 yrs plus before the West adopted it for the "prayer" gesture. More Moon Goddess pics to come....
And still an awkward young artist (pre-net tutorial days)- so the sleeves - yeah, pretty cool, but the dress around the knees...a bit awkward....
Crow Quill, India Ink, Dr.Martin's Clear Watercolors and Prismacolor Pencils on paper approx 6 x 8 1/2
Some Krita editing - returned some texture to the background after smoothing the colours out in the original scan from about 8 yrs ago...Also a couple big digi edits: her hair was originally a lot bigger, didn't occur to me at the time that it was like a Nashville wig; and the background was originally yellow-green...rilly bad colour choice.

Very impressive! Love the shimmery colors. In 1979, I was still a baby. So you've got me there. Maybe I can dig up some really awesome finger painting I did. But probably not. I'm surprised you've been able to keep so much. My conventional art even from the mid 90s turned to junk long ago.
