Chaotic Neutral is just the emphasis on the self. Someone who is chaotic neutral sees rules as a set back or a hindrance. They probably are good about taking care of themselves and people of interest to them but being told they can't or shouldn't do something is obnoxious and they feel it stunts their potential. A rebel with a cause is an easy way to explain it.
