Your lighting is wonderful~ I tend to overwork my pieces and they end up looking very.. digital? So I really enjoy how yours is always so crisp and painterly.

I'm sure the comic part will work out just as well!

Do you do a greyscale and a "base color" version first?
I used to have that problem with my stuff but then I started planning out how I wanted things to look. That way when I hit the final version I don't overthink/do things.

The comic I'm working on is for a school assignment. We had to take two pages out of a hypothetical story and make pages on it. Since finals are like in two weeks I gotta put the pedal to the medal here. But I'm sure I'll do fine.

I try to, doing greyscale first seems to throw me off more than anything. The greyscale will look fine but adding the colour seems to be where it fall out.

I take just as much care with the colored part as the greyscale part. Greyscale helps me lay down my one/two layered colored flats before I go in to the final rendering. But it's definitely a process that one needs to get into the habit of doing.
